Article 1 (Personal Information)

"Personal information" refers to information about a living individual as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, including information such as name, date of birth, address, phone number, contact details, and other descriptions that can identify a specific individual. It also includes data such as facial images, fingerprints, voiceprints, and health insurance numbers that can identify a specific individual on their own (personal identification information).

Article 2 (Method of Collecting Personal Information)

The Company may ask users to provide personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver's license number when registering for use. The Company may also collect transaction records and payment information that include personal information from business partners (including information providers, advertisers, and advertisement distributors; hereinafter referred to as "Partners").

Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)

The purposes for which the Company collects and uses personal information are as follows:

  1. To provide and operate the Company’s Services
  2. To respond to inquiries from users (including identity verification)
  3. To send information on new features, updates, campaigns, and other services provided by the Company
  4. To contact users when necessary for maintenance or important notices
  5. To identify users who violate the Terms of Use or attempt to use the Services for fraudulent or unjust purposes and to refuse their use
  6. To allow users to view, modify, or delete their registration information and usage status
  7. To charge users for paid services
  8. Any purposes incidental to the above purposes

Article 4 (Change of Purpose of Use)

  • The Company may change the purpose of use of personal information only when the new purpose is reasonably related to the original purpose.
  • If the purpose of use is changed, users will be notified or the changes will be announced on the website using the Company’s prescribed methods.

Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

  • The Company will not provide personal information to third parties without prior consent of the user, except in cases permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other laws. However, personal information may be provided in the following cases:
    1. When it is necessary for the protection of human life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain the user's consent
    2. When it is particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children and it is difficult to obtain the user's consent
    3. When it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government agency or a contractor performing duties as prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the user’s consent may interfere with such duties
    4. When the following items have been notified or made public in advance and the Company has reported the provision to the Personal Information Protection Commission:
      1. Inclusion of provision to third parties in the purpose of use
      2. Data items to be provided to third parties
      3. Means or methods of providing personal information to third parties
      4. Provision of personal information to third parties can be stopped upon the user's request
      5. Method of accepting such user requests
  • Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the following cases are not considered as provision to third parties:

    1. When the Company outsources all or part of the handling of personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use
    2. When personal information is provided as part of a business succession due to a merger or other reasons
    3. When personal information is jointly used with a specific party, provided that the user has been notified in advance or the information is made easily accessible, including the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of joint users, the purpose of use by the users, and the name of the person responsible for management

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

  • When a user requests the disclosure of personal information, the Company shall disclose it without delay. However, all or part of the information may not be disclosed if any of the following apply, and in such cases, the Company will notify the user without delay:

    1. When there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the user or a third party
    2. When it would significantly hinder the proper execution of the Company’s operations
    3. When it would violate other laws and regulations
  • A fee of 1,000 yen per request will be charged for the disclosure of personal information. Notwithstanding the above, the Company will not, in principle, disclose information other than personal information, such as history and characteristic information.

Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

  • If the user believes that the Company’s retained personal information is incorrect, the user may request correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "Correction") in accordance with procedures prescribed by the Company.
  • If the Company determines that it is necessary to respond to such a request, it will promptly make the Correction to the relevant personal information.
  • If the Company makes or decides not to make the Correction based on the provisions of the previous paragraph, the user will be notified without delay.

Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.)

  • If the user requests suspension or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "Suspension") of the use of personal information on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the intended use or was obtained by fraudulent means, the Company will conduct the necessary investigation without delay.
  • Based on the results of the investigation, if it is determined that the request should be accepted, the Company will promptly implement the Suspension.
  • The Company will notify the user without delay if it decides to implement or not implement the Suspension.
  • Notwithstanding the preceding paragraphs, if it is difficult to implement the Suspension due to high costs or other reasons, and if alternative measures can be taken to protect the rights and interests of the user, such alternative measures will be implemented.

Article 9 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)

The contents of this Policy may be changed without notice to the user, except as otherwise provided by law or in this Policy. Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
